The light of a fairy called Liberty envelops two puppets with human features who discover that they can dance without strings. The evil puppeteer chases them, and in their flight they are welcomed by the circus with its 'different' characters, but all friends, and in its wanderings it involves the spectator in a carousel of traditional folk dances with colours and costumes from all over the world, for a live review of the customs of the peoples of the Earth, touching on Greece, Hungary, Arabia, Italy, France, etc.
